I'm Fei - a Senior Product Designer in the UK. For 14 years I've worked where products get complicated: image licensing, editorial platforms, and the design systems that hold them together.

Right now I'm at Alamy, building the design system and product experience behind 450 million images and videos. Before that, I spent seven years designing editorial products at PA Media, and four at Yahoo shipping campaigns for Paramount, P&G and Visit Britain.

One critique session, every designer in the group.

Alamy is part of PA Media Group - a family of companies where design teams are small and most designers, me included, work on their projects solo. Good work is happening everywhere across the group, but rarely shared.

So I set up the group-wide design critique, and I run it. Product designers from every company - and the Graphic design team, who I invited in - bring live work for honest feedback, fresh eyes and inspiration. Part critique, part show-and-tell: it's how we support each other and build a design culture across companies that would otherwise never share a room.
